Associate Director, Product Strategy

Department: US Product Strategy
Location: Incyte Corporate Headquarters

Job Summary  (Primary function)
The Associate Director, Product Strategy develops the HCP strategy, communication plans, and executes tactics in the U.S.  The Associate Director leads the development and deployment of multiple promotional programs across various communication channels and work collaboratively with key stakeholders including Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Insights, and Regulatory to develop and implement brand and disease area strategies.

Essential Functions of the Job  (Key responsibilities)

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Jakafi HCP strategy and associated educational programs and materials.
  • Lead the development of the HCP strategic messaging platform and ensure alignment across promotional activities.
  • Regular communication and collaboration with sales and sales training to ensure pull through of the Jakafi strategy and promotional resources.
  • Work closely with key oncology stakeholders including nurses, hospitals, office staff, GPOs, and professional societies.
  • Medical education and thought leader strategy.
  • Agency management to develop and implement promotional programs and materials.
  • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with Sales and other key functional areas including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Development.
  • Coordination with Commercial Analysis to incorporate customer insights into programs and materials.
  • Budget preparation and maintenance.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ work experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology product channel marketing. 
  • 7+ years’ work experience working in oncology and an understanding of key stakeholders.
  • Experience working with external brand agencies and vendors on a day-to-day basis and managing promotional budgets.
  • Experience with thought leader management.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with agencies and other team members.
  • Specialty pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience required including experience in hematology, oncology, or inflammation.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytic and strategic capabilities.
