Manager, Sales Operations

Department: Regional Business Operations
Location: Incyte Corporate Headquarters

Job Summary (Primary function)

 The Manager, Sales Operations is part of the Sales Operations & Business Information Services group within Incyte’s US Business Operations & Analytics team. This is a high impact role who will work in close collaboration across multiple functions to support sales growth. This position will have hands-on ownership of multiple areas critical to the success of the Field sales organization, including incentive compensation, reporting & analytics, targeting & alignments, training, and partnering with Field leadership to identify & execute on opportunities.

 The successful candidate will join a team of subject matter experts, employing a hands on approach, to solve the right problems and turn data into actionable insights. Key success factors include a passion for accurate and timely delivery of results, eagerness to embrace an aggressive learning curve, a drive to continually improve and innovate, and strong interpersonal & customer facing skills.

  

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

  

  • Project manage & collaborate with cross-functional team to design and implement IC plans & sales contests
  • Manage and execute all IC processes, including budgeting, goal setting, IC payout calculations, reporting, and approvals
  • Lead initial sales training on Ops data, systems, and tools for new hires and support on-going training workshops at national and regional meetings
  • Act as the primary contact point for sales specialists and regional directors for all sales crediting, analytics and data-related questions
  • Manage Field Targeting & alignment processes, including communication and pull through
  • Develop and update monthly Field performance updates and sales reports
  • Design dashboards & build ad hoc analysis/reports to identify opportunities for Field execution
  • Collaborate with broader US Business Operations & Analytics team to review data contracts, improve existing processes, and implement new initiatives

         

  Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum 3 experience delivering business results in incentive compensation plus at least 2 of these areas: territory alignments, targeting, training on data/analytics, dashboard creation, sales force analytics
  • Must have hands-on experience with Incentive Compensation calculations, goal setting, or cost modeling
  • Utmost attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, experience leading workshops/trainings a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office with fluency in Excel (comfort using advanced functions)
  • Proficient with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
  • Working knowledge of various industry data sources (E.g., Specialty Pharmacy, diagnosis claims, etc.)
  • Experience in the life science, pharmaceutical/biotech industry, or management consulting preferred
