Research Investigator, Chemistry (Computational)

Department: Discovery Chemistry
Location: Incyte Corporate Headquarters

Job Summary:
The Research Scientist in Chemistry (Computational) will will be responsible for cheminformatics and structure based design to support small molecule drug discovery

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain in-house written cheminformatics software for datamining and automation.
  • Apply structure and ligand-based design strategies to evaluate and improve potency of lead compounds.
  • Collaborate with project team members to analyze and visualize scientific data.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in computational chemistry is required. Post-doctoral experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in scientific programming with an understanding of software development life-cycle is essential.
  • Experience with VB.NET/C#, JavaScript, Python or Java is required.
  • Experience with Schrodinger or MOE molecular modelling suites is required.
  • Experience with KNIME, RDKit, Indigo or other cheminformatics platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in database management is preferred.
  • Experience in molecular dynamics and free energy perturbation calculations is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with the chemistry team are essential.
  • A strong track record of academic and scientific achievement is required.
