Job Summary  (Primary function)

The role of the IAI/Topical Ruxolitinib LCM Leader is to ensure that Incyte is able to maintain a leadership position in topical treatment of atopic dermatitis and vitiligo through and beyond LOE for topical ruxolitinib cream. This is a key strategic leadership position that will be able to assess and understand the landscape, work with internal and external experts to understand the unmet need in these diseases, evaluate external best-practices, work together across several functions to develop a prioritized strategy and action plans that ultimately lead to the development of additional products or indications  that provide patients with AD and vitiligo and other potential dermatologic diseases additional treatments. .  In addition, this position will need to work for the IAI Strategy Focus Group in order to help shape asset strategy and to advance other pipeline assets in  these and other autoimmune or dermatological diseases.

Essential Functions of the Job  (Key responsibilities)
•  Develop a deep understanding of the dermatology/IAI landscape including topical ruxolitinib, established and emerging competition, key changes to market dynamics, and remaining unmet need
•  Benchmark external best-practices for appropriately extending and maximizing brand, asset, and franchise value
•  Work closely with Chemistry, Biology, Development, IP/Legal, BD, CMC/TechOps, Medical Affairs, and Commercial to brainstorm and prioritize actions to enhance Incyte’s leadership position in IAI/Dermatology over the long term including
   o  Opportunities to expand the patent estate of topical ruxolitinib
   o  Evaluation of innovative  formulations and combination products to address unmet for dermatological diseases
   o  Innovative  device or delivery mechanisms, especially new presentations that are unexpected and unique
•  Lead/facilitate the implementation of several different workstreams that will run in parallel in order to deliver against objectives
•  Work closely with the Incyte Executive Team (ET) to keep them apprised of progress and to gain alignment on action plan
•  Work closely with the cross-functional Strategy Focus group to advance other earlier stage assets that are in the pipeline
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced business, scientific, legal or medical degree strongly preferred
• 10+ years biopharmaceutical experience with lifecycle or loss-of-exclusivity planning preferred
• Extensive dermatology/IAI knowledge preferred
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and to interact with senior leadership
• Significant familiarity with drug discovery, development, and commercialization process
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex information
• Demonstrated track record of creativity and innovation and ability to move quickly to action
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
• Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment
