Associate Director to Director, Strategic Planning & Operations

Department: Gbl Strategy & Corp Dev - GSCD
Location: Incyte Corporate Headquarters

Job Summary  (Primary function)
The Director, Global Strategic Planning & Operations leads global insight development and market analysis in support of key business decisions related to the company’s growing portfolio of products and works with Product Strategy and Clinical Development to lead the annual enterprise-level strategic planning process.

Essential Functions of the Job  (Key responsibilities)
•  Support corporate strategy initiatives with senior management including the annual strategic plan and other key enterprise-level initiatives
•  Lead primary research, external expert interviews, etc to generate insights as needed
•  Lead global forecasting for late stage products and opportunity assessments for early stage programs, working closely with Global Product Strategy teams, Business Development, and other functions
•  Manage and maintain secondary global resources and data.
•  Stay abreast of the external landscape and generate competitive insights to help inform key strategic decisions
•  Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional and regional teams in support of Global Product Strategy initiatives.
•  Performs all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
•  Bachelor’s degree required; advanced science, medical or business degree preferred.
•  5+ years in the biopharmaceutical industry including business analysis, market research, and strategic planning experience.
•  Strong analytical and quantitative skills (Including facility with building and maintaining Excel based models)
•  Ability to apply judgement and experience when summarizing insights and making recommendations.
•  Significant knowledge of the general pharma databases and secondary resources.
•  Experience working in global roles.
•  Oncology and/or hematology experience preferred.
•  Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and to interact with senior leadership.
•  Proven senior management presence and superior communication skills—ability to synthesize and communicate complex information.
•  Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
